Our Story

Porto Romano Restaurant, named after an ancient Roman port in present day Albania, was started in 2005 in what was then called City Square, in Kuala Lumpur. Run as a family business, Porto Romano is the brainchild of Eddie Wong, and Sonila Hajderasi Wong.

While Eddie brings his passion for food, camaraderie, and good wines to Porto Romano, Sonila brings with her a cultivated flair for Mediterranean culture and cuisine.

Today, there are three flourishing Porto Romano outlets in Klang Valley in the strategic locales of Mont Kiara, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Intermark Mall, Kuala Lumpur. Porto Romano celebrates the art of Mediterranean cuisine, not only through its food but also its ambiance which is designed to embody the Mediterranean love for large joyful feasts with family and friends.
